
Chasing silver in Scotland starts in February and runs all the way through summer into Autumn. There’s a bit of something for everyone, depending on what your preferences are. Some rivers still offer a genuine chance of bumping into a big salmon, but it’s far from being predictable. The Spey and Tay still produce some big springers, with March through to May, typically being the best period. On the west coast, The River Lochy is another possibility, although the 10kg+ salmon have been few these last years. May and June offer the best chance.River Lochy
